OGC NICE WILL NOT GIVE PERMANENT CONTRACT DEAL TO MOUSSA WAGUE, ADAM OUNAS AND RIZA DURMISI.

ADAM OUNAS..

OGC Nice have this afternoon announced that they will not be taking up the option to buy Algerian international winger Adam Ounas from Napoli, after an initial season-long loan.

Ounas showed flashes of good performances towards the end of the truncated 2019/20 campaign, but these were ultimately overshadowed by him being unfit at the beginning of the season and then him suffering a sequence of fitness setbacks.

The option to acquire the player was reported by French press last summer as €25m, which was always going to be a huge ask for the INEOS-owned club to act upon for the 23-year-old.

MOUSSA WAGUE..

Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have announced that they will not be activating their option to acquire 21-year-old Senegalese defender Moussa Wagué from Barcelona.

Wagué, who was being chased by West Ham United too in January before opting to join Les Aiglons instead on loan until the end of the 2019/20 campaign, made five appearances in the French top flight this season, clocking in a very important assist in the most recent derby with AS Monaco, enabling Kasper Dolberg to score in the final minute of the encounter to ensure a victory for Les Aiglons.

RIZA DURMISI..

Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have this afternoon confirmed that they will not be activating an option to buy in their loan agreement with Lazio for Danish left-back Riza Durmisi.

The 26-year-old joined Les Aiglons in January, as the club looked to fill a problematic position for them at left-back, with Racine Coly not viewed as up to scratch and both Malang Sarr and Stanley N’Soki not feeling comfortable in that role.

Durmisi made just five appearances in all competitions for Nice, but never convinced Patrick Vieira.
