CARLOS VELA ALMOST JOINED BARCELONA IN JANUARY.
LAFC player Carlos Vela reportedly went to Barcelona last January but ultimately failed for several reasons. According to local media Carlos Vela got a contract offer until the end of the season from Barcelona.
Carlos Vela briefly considered the opportunity coming from Barcelona but the LAFC did not approve the contract offer because LAFC wanted Barcelona to permanently secure Carlos Vela after the loan period ended.
LAFC also asked a fairly high price from Barcelona because Carlos Vela has become the most influential player at the MSL at the moment but unfortunately Barcelona did not agree with the offer given by LAFC and the end of the Barcelona and LAFC meeting did not produce anything.
After Barcelona listened to the decision of LAFC who refused the offer, Barcelona finally switched to another player, Martin Braithwaite. Barcelona finally officially get Martin Braithwaite from Leganes and officially contracted for up to 3 seasons ahead.
